Atlantis Awaits formed in mid 2009. Since then they have been building momentum and wowing crowds all over Australia. Atlantis Awaits released their Debut EP in July, 2010 to rave reviews followed by their first own national tour touching down in every state, playing to over 8000 people.
A single, Mixed and Mastered by Hollywood based, Grammy nominated wizz Brandon Freison, was released on Sony Via Ardline on August 11th 2011 for digital download, as well as a limited edition Physical release featuring a preview of album track “Dream Chaser”. Atlantis Awaits is a very special tightly knit group of young musicians who seriously live and breath their craft. The band is comprised of Tegan on vocals, Tom and Josh on Guitars, Robbie on Drums and Steve on Bass and vocals.
They have just crafted a sensational debut album titled Dying to Live and have set plans to tour extensively in 2012/2013 in both Australia and the USA supporting the release. The album was written by the band late 2011 in Los Angeles under the careful guidance of Brandon Friesen (Billy Talent, Avril Lavigne, Nickelback) and tracked at the famous Tranzformers Studio in Burbank. Friesen produced 10 tracks over an intesive 8 week period and mixing started in earnest.
The final mixes will be getting the final touches in mastering by LA mastering guru Tom Baker (Nine Inch Nails, Thirty Seconds to Mars, My Chemical Romance). Back in Australia, Atlantis Awaits hunkered down rehearsing in preparation for further live shows.
Atlantis Awaits plays, writes, tours, parties and laughs with both passion and loyalty for their craft and bandmates rarely seen these days, and are setting out with a succeed or die-trying attitude to carve out its own niche in the global music industry.
