In 2011, A feller by the name of Byron Knight got a few mates together from his hometown Bateau Bay to start a little jam ensemble called ‘Sea Legs’.

Since that time, they have proven they are not shy of hard work and executed everything 100% independently. In turn this has earned them a loyal cult like following across Australia who come out in droves when the lads are playing in town.

Since they have kicked things off, Sea Legs have released 2 stand-alone singles ‘Boyfriend’ and ‘Al Pacino’, their debut EP ‘We Do What We Do When We Do What We Do’ which featured ‘Can I Get An Amen’, ‘Morse Code’ and ‘Open To Suggestions’.

All offerings have enjoyed considerable media support from the likes of Triple J, BBC, Rage, Channel V and numerous other blogs, radio stations and magazines.

Fast-forward to October 2013 and the guys have released their single ‘Take A Little For Yourself’ which was put on rotation on Triple J and various Community stations right up until June 2014 where they toured nationally with good friends British India, Dune Rats, Lurch & Chief and Lunatics On Pogosticks.

It only took one week for Central Coast indie pop rockers  Sea Legs new single ‘Christopher Strong’ to start kicking goals across the nation.

Triple J has added the song to spot rotation immediately; whilst online the new track hit #3 on the Hype Machine twitter charts.

In June, the band completed a 10-show east coast tour with the likes of British India, Lurch & Chief and Dune Rats playing multiple sell out shows and a performance recently at a sold out UTS Winterfest, featuring Violent Soho, DMA’s and SAFIA.

To follow this up and further spread the word of ‘Christopher Strong’, some tour dates have just been announced, with shows scheduled for November and December.

More dates will be revealed in the coming weeks for January including QLD, NSW, ACT and VIC dates.

New roster comrades ‘Skyways Are Highways’, who have just released their EP, will be joining the band as main support on select dates below.

“Catchy chorus, singalong stylee. Great to hear another strong song from Sea Legs. Really like that sprawling end, too.”
Zan Rowe – Triple J

“The heavy guitar and fast paced beat will ensure this single is one I can see becoming a crowd favourite. Being able to sing along with the band, and the rest of the crowd, would be an outstanding experience that everyone should have the opportunity to share and enjoy.”
Melina Jones – City & Sound

“The track has all of the elements of a sophisticated, somewhat experimental rock song without alienating the general masses.”
Jemma Nott – Vulture Magazine
