Lush Productions is a multi-faceted action sports company with expertise in wholesale distribution, licensing, retail and events. Boasting an impressive distribution portfolio of globally recognised skate, surf and streetwear brands, the company has built a reputation for unsurpassed service and quality within the industry. Offering an end-to-end solution all of our brands and to manage its present and future success, Lush Productions employs over 30 industry professionals across their product development, customer service, sales, marketing and event management departments.
Since the establishment of Lush Productions in 1992, the company has built an active network of over 700 retail doors across Australia and New Zealand. Our retailer base consists of approximately 400 independent surf, skate and fashion stores as well as key multinational accounts and select department stores, contributing a further 240 doors Australia-wide. Lush also services an independent account base of approximately 100 stores in New Zealand. Long term alliances and strong bonds have been formed with all the key major retail players in Australia such as Fast Times, Ozmosis, City Beach, Surfstitch, SDS, The Iconic, David Jones and General Pants.
In 1998 after providing success as a leading distribution company, Lush Productions took on the licencing rights to Zoo York apparel. After many years of success Lush Productions overtook domestic sales in the USA and opened the worlds first ever Zoo York concept store in The Melbourne Emporium centre. Zoo York was sold to Iconix in 2018 and a joint venture formed with a competing licensee under all Iconix brands. In 2010 Lush productions acquired the Santa Cruz license and our team has grown this brand to be the largest skate apparel brand in Australia with sales in projected to be in excess of A$15m in 2021. To put this in perspective – Hurley at its peak in 2017 only just reached A$15m and is now circa A$8m in turnover. With all brands growing year on year, Lush has become a driving force of fashion within the skate/surf/street and outdoor market.
Lush productions also own proprietary brands in Alphabet Soup, RES Denim and a small collection of skate hardware brands. Furthermore, we operate skate stores in Byron Bay and Melbourne under the Street Machine banner. Together with a strong digital team we also manage content and marketing for 5 branded websites.
